Will this work with my older Plyomat Controller?
This system ships with Controller 3.0. If you also own a Controller 2.0, it works with the same Plyomat 3.0 and 2.0 apps, interchangeably. Controller 1.0 hardware only works with the legacy Plyomat 1.0 app (Android only).
How accurate is jump-height measurement?
Independent tests show Plyomat reads within 2–3% of force-plate flight-time measurements when protocols are matched. Springfield College validation: ICC = 0.85, r = 0.97 vs. force plate.
Will the two mats measure independently?
No, once two mats are connected, they act as ONE continuous mat. To run two independent stations, you need a second Controller.
Can I use Plyomat outdoors or on turf?
Yes, Plyomat works outdoors on flat, firm, dry surfaces. For turf, place a thin rigid board underneath the mat for consistent readings. If athletes wear cleats, place a piece of turf on top of the mat to protect the surface.
Does Plyomat need calibration?
No. Plyomat does not require calibration and works consistently with an actuation force of 15 lbs.
What's the difference between this and the System w/ 28×14" Mat?
The Portable System ($950) includes two 28×14" mats that connect together or operate independently. The System w/ 28×14" Mat ($750) includes one mat. Both include the Controller 3.0 and full free app access.
